SSN Environmental Compliance Monitor

Be part of the Stk’emlúpsemc te Secwépemc Nation as an Environmental Compliance Monitor at New Afton Mine in Kamloops, BC. Ensure compliance and uphold environmental standards in a key monitoring role.
In this full-time Environmental Monitor role, you’ll engage with multiple stakeholders to uphold environmental compliance within the extensive mining operation at New Afton Mine. A proactive approach and keen understanding of cultural protocols ensure effective collaboration with SSN. A strong background in Natural Resource Management is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the Environment Team at New Afton Mine

• Monitor compliance with applicable environmental laws

• Complete daily inspection and audit reports

• Participate in cultural heritage and environmental activities

• Report findings and recommendations to SSN and Coeur
Requirements:

• Minimum diploma in a related field

• Experience in major mine protection or audits

• ISO 14001 certification preferred

• Familiarity with relevant health and safety requirements

• Valid driver's license and clean abstract
