Summit Helicopters is seeking a Technical Lead Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) in Kamloops, BC, providing leadership for Bell 407 and AS350 fleets. Ensure safety and operational readiness while coordinating maintenance programs and field support.
In this full-time role, you will leverage your 5+ years of experience to oversee technical operations, conduct hands-on maintenance, and shape the development of safety compliance across the board. Your expertise in mechanical, electrical, and avionics systems will guide maintenance personnel, ensuring the reliability of our aircraft. You will be a crucial contact for troubleshooting and leading maintenance planning efforts, enhancing fleet performance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead maintenance oversight for Bell 407 and AS350 aircraft
• Conduct scheduled and unscheduled maintenance per regulations
• Mentor apprentices and AMEs in technical skills development
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical issues
• Coordinate parts and tools for effective aircraft operations
Requirements:
• Minimum 5 years as a licensed Helicopter AME
• Experience with Bell 407 and AS350 aircraft
• Strong troubleshooting skills for systems
• Understanding of Transport Canada regulations
• Willingness to travel for operational support
