Position: Civic GIS Technologist at City
Elevate municipal operations in Kamloops as a Civic GIS Technologist. Your skills will support planning and operations through powerful GIS tools and data accuracy.

In this permanent, full-time role, you’ll work with the City of Kamloops' maintenance management and GIS team to ensure high-quality spatial data production. This job requires producing maps, maintaining databases, and providing crucial technical support to internal teams. Your attention to detail will be invaluable in maintaining GIS data integrity and effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

• Produce high-quality spatial maps for various uses

• Analyze data to assist in operational decision-making

• Maintain and update GIS databases regularly

• Deliver technical support to internal stakeholders

• Support planning initiatives through accurate data representation

Requirements:

• Two-year diploma in GIS is essential

• At least two years of municipal experience with ArcGIS

• Certification eligibility with BC Applied Science Technologists

• Valid Class 5 BC driver's license

• Police information check for new hires
