Become an Engineering Technologist with the City of Merritt, focusing on municipal project inspection and coordination. Gather crucial data for water and wastewater infrastructure.
This role involves working with municipal staff to coordinate capital projects effectively. You will utilize your technical skills to review designs, conduct inspections, and ensure compliance with engineering standards. Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate inspections of municipal capital projects
• Review and evaluate design drawing submissions
• Conduct field surveys and inspections of developments
• Prepare and maintain infrastructure planning reports
• Collaborate with Public Works and Planning departments
Requirements:
• Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or equivalent experience
• At least two years in civil/municipal engineering
• Familiarity with GIS, AutoCAD, and project management
• Strong knowledge of engineering codes and practices
• Must hold a valid BC driver's license
