The OpportunitySpend your fall term gaining hands‑on experience on real infrastructure projects that help shape communities across British Columbia. As a Civil Engineering Co‑op Student with our Land Development & Municipal Engineering team in Kamloops, you’ll collaborate with experienced professionals, apply your academic knowledge in a practical setting, and build the skills that will support your growth as a future engineer.
Your Impact- Support civil design and analysis for land development and municipal infrastructure projects.
- Assist with preparing drawings, calculations, and technical documentation.
- Participate in site visits to observe construction activities and gain field experience.
- Collaborate with engineers, technologists, and project managers on multidisciplinary teams.
- Apply engineering fundamentals to solve real‑world challenges.
- Contribute to safe, sustainable, and community‑focused infrastructure solutions.
- Learn WSP standards, tools, and best practices in a professional consulting environment.
- Currently enrolled in a Civil Engineering or related undergraduate program.
- Completed at least one year of post‑secondary engineering studies.
- Basic understanding of civil engineering principles (grading, servicing, or transportation is an asset).
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar design software is an asset.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Willingness to work in both office and field environments.
AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $24.00 – $32.25 per hour
MB & ON: $22.50 – $30.25 per hour
NB, NL, NS, PE & QC: $21.50 – $30.25 per hour
The final salary awarded for this role may vary from the above range based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs. The wage range provided in this job posting may be subject to change for business purposes.
