Become a key player in water safety with the City of Kamloops as a full-time Water Treatment Plant Operator. Manage and optimize water treatment operations to provide clean drinking water for the community.
This permanent position involves overseeing sophisticated water treatment systems to ensure public health and compliance with regulations. You'll work under the Crew Leader, making operational decisions and addressing challenges while training others. Strong technical skills and judgment are essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage and maintain water treatment operations
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards
• Make operational decisions in a dynamic environment
• Train and lead others in water facility tasks
• Optimize systems for water quality and safety
Requirements:
• Level III Water Treatment Certificate (EOCP)
• Post-secondary credential in Water Technology
• Minimum three years experience in water treatment
• Proficient in basic Word and Excel
• Valid Class 5 BC Driver's Licence
