Become a crucial player as a Civil Field Engineer, engaged in construction and geotechnical projects across Alberta and British Columbia. This position requires an independent, hands-on approach to fieldwork and travel.
We are on the lookout for a practical Geotechnical / Civil Field Engineer to deliver technical support on ongoing projects in Western Canada. Reporting to the Principal Geotechnical Engineer, you will perform inspections, conduct QA/QC reviews, and prepare detailed documentation to ensure project compliance. Your expertise will be key in identifying and solving field-related issues effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise field inspections and quality assurance activities
• Monitor compliance with project specifications and drawings
• Prepare inspection records and daily summaries
• Support project planning and execution efforts
• Attend site meetings and technical discussions
Requirements:
• Degree/diploma in a relevant engineering discipline
• At least 3 years of field engineering experience
• Proficient in QA/QC processes and documentation
• Strong communication skills in technical settings
• Physically capable of working in diverse outdoor conditions
