Become a Power Engineer with the Lower Nicola Indian Band in Merritt, BC, earning $38.50 to $55 CAD per hour. Lead the maintenance and operation of vital systems in community facilities.
In this full-time role, your responsibility will be to ensure the efficient function of boilers, generators, and HVAC systems. You'll supervise apprentices and monitor equipment for optimal performance while conducting routine maintenance tasks. Delivering dependable utility services is essential for schools, health centres, and public works.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage operation of HVAC and power generation systems
• Start and stop equipment and monitor performance levels
• Troubleshoot and rectify equipment issues efficiently
• Maintain detailed operational and safety records
• Issue work permits and assist in system testing
Requirements:
• Experience in power engineering or facility maintenance
• Skilled in operating and maintaining control systems
• Ability to perform minor repairs and maintenance
• Strong organizational and reporting skills
• Adherence to safety regulations and emergency protocols
