Join the City of Kamloops as a Water Treatment Plant Operator, ensuring safe drinking water through technical expertise and leadership. This permanent role requires a commitment to high-quality water operations.
In this full-time position, you will manage and optimize water treatment systems under the guidance of the Crew Leader.
Your role is critical in safeguarding public health and ensuring compliance with all environmental regulations. Strong judgment and the ability to lead training efforts are essential to thrive in this high-tech environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Optimize operations of the water treatment facility
• Make critical decisions to ensure water safety
• Lead and train team members on techniques
• Maintain compliance with regulatory standards
• Conduct system improvements for water quality
Requirements:
• Level III Water Treatment Certificate (EOCP)
• Post-secondary diploma in Water Technology
• At least three years of relevant experience
• Proficiency in basic Word and Excel
• Valid Class 5 BC Driver's Licence
