Norpac Construction is hiring a Field Engineer to oversee geotechnical projects in Alberta and British Columbia. This position includes extensive travel and fieldwork, focusing on safety and compliance.
As a Field Engineer, you will work directly under the Principal Geotechnical Engineer, participating actively in site activities and project execution. With at least three years of experience, you will perform inspections, ensure quality control, and prepare essential documentation. Communicating clearly with various stakeholders will be key to resolving field issues and supporting project success.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform field inspections and quality control checks
• Monitor construction compliance with specifications
• Document testing and prepare detailed reports
• Coordinate on-site verification of geotechnical installations
• Identify and address field issues effectively
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering
• At least 3 years of field engineering experience
• Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings
• Valid driver’s license for project travel
• Capability of working in diverse outdoor conditions
