Elevate mining operations as a Mining Process Engineer at ALS, where frequent international travel is part of transforming plant performance. Use your expertise in control systems to optimize client results.
This role involves designing and building intelligent systems for mining and mineral processing facilities. You will engage in PLC, SCADA, and advanced process control (APC) systems while leveraging programming skills in Python, C/C++, and SQL. Collaborate with plant teams to troubleshoot faults and improve processes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and commission PLC and SCADA systems
• Diagnose control system faults and enhance performance
• Develop and maintain applications in various programming languages
• Configure analytics and reporting systems
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures
Requirements:
• Degree in Engineering or Computer Science
• 5+ years of experience in industrial control systems
• Proficiency in PLC and SCADA/HMI programming
• Hands-on experience in Linux-based environments
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
