The new Laminated Veneer Lumber facility at Tolko is seeking a skilled Automation and Controls Engineer/Specialist. Candidates should possess relevant engineering backgrounds with at least 3 years in industrial settings, ideally within the forest products sector. Key tasks involve PLC programming, equipment commissioning, and enhancing product quality through innovative solutions and team collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
• Champion initiatives to enhance production throughput
• Develop intelligent solutions for equipment and systems
• Use statistical process control for experimental evaluation
• Troubleshoot control systems and provide maintenance support
• Foster interdepartmental relationships for continuous improvement
Requirements:
• Engineering degree or Trades Certification with experience
• 3+ years in a manufacturing or industrial role
• Strong skills in HMI and PLC programming
• Familiarity with Factory Talk software
• Availability for after-hours support on a rotational basis
