We are looking for a motivated and passionate Civil Engineer-in-Training to support municipal engineering projects with a focus on water, wastewater, and land development. This is an opportunity to build practical experience across the planning, design, and delivery of infrastructure that supports growing indigenous communities, while learning from experienced engineers and working closely with multidisciplinary project teams.

The successful candidate will work out of our Kamloops Branch and will support a range of municipal infrastructure and land development projects, including water distribution, sanitary and storm sewer systems, roadworks, site servicing, and related civil works. The Kamloops office also offers free parking and a dog-friendly environment, helping create a welcoming and convenient workplace for our team.

• Municipal Engineering Support:
  Assist with planning, design, and delivery of municipal infrastructure projects, including water, wastewater, stormwater, roads, and site servicing
• Client Facing:
  This position may involve direct engagement with clients, including meetings, correspondence, and ongoing relationship management.
• Water and Wastewater Design:
  Support technical work related to water distribution, sanitary sewer, wastewater, and stormwater systems, including calculations, drawings, and design documentation.
• Land Development Projects:
  Contribute to subdivision, site servicing, grading, drainage, and development-related civil engineering projects from concept through construction.
• Design and Reporting:
  Prepare and review technical reports, design drawings, cost estimates, specifications, and permit-related documentation under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Field Reviews and Construction Support:
  Participate in site inspections, field reviews, and construction support activities to gain hands-on experience and understand how designs are built.

• Experience level: 0 - 2 years of relevant experience in municipal engineering, water/wastewater, land development, or related civil infrastructure projects is preferred
• Education:
  
  Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related discipline from an accredited university program recognized by Engineers Canada.
• Registration in good standing as an Engineer-In-Training in British Columbia, or eligibility to be registered.
• You will live local or a commutable distance to our Kamloops location.
• You will take part in field work and have occasional travel to sites or nearby communities, so a clean driver’s licence is required.
