Elevate tailings safety protocols in the Senior Engineer position at Highland Valley Copper. This on-site, full-time role emphasizes collaborative geotechnical efforts to ensure environmental stewardship.
As a key member of the Dam Safety team, you will report to the Chief Engineer and work closely with various teams to manage tailings and water storage facilities. You will also be involved in the major expansion of the Tailings Storage Facility while upholding the highest standards of safety and compliance. This role fosters a dynamic work culture focused on teamwork and leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
• Promote a safety-first workplace through leadership
• Engage with technical and operational personnel effectively
• Ensure adherence to tailings regulatory requirements
• Supervise both internal resources and consultants
• Collect and communicate key performance data
Requirements:
• Degree in Civil, Geological/Geotechnical, or Mining Engineering
• Eligibility for Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) registration
• Over 8 years' experience in relevant fields
• Experience with multidisciplinary project management
• Strong communication skills with varied stakeholders
