Join Tk’emlúps te Secwépemc as a full-time Planning Technician, navigating exciting land use projects in Kamloops. This position merges technical skills with community-focused planning efforts.
In this role, you will facilitate the delivery of planning and development services while supporting public engagement initiatives. Collaborating closely with the Senior Planner, you will ensure compliance with Band regulations during project reviews and contribute to long-range community goals. Your efforts will play a key part in shaping the sustainable growth of the TteS community.
Key Responsibilities:
• Implement land use and housing strategies
• Conduct policy reviews and spatial analysis
• Support public consultations and feedback mechanisms
• Review development applications for compliance
• Prepare detailed reports and graphics for review
Requirements:
• Diploma in planning, geography, or related field
• Minimum three years in planning or development
• Understanding of Indigenous planning frameworks
• Class 5 Driver’s Licence is required
• Excellent analytical and communication skills
