Location: Merritt
Become a key player with the Lower Nicola Indian Band in Merritt, BC, as a Full-Time Natural Resources Coordinator. You will coordinate various initiatives focused on environmental resource management and community engagement.
In this role, you'll provide project support under the Director of Economic Development, handling activities related to fisheries, forestry, and environmental restoration. Your contributions will include developing project work plans, monitoring timelines, and ensuring effective communication within the community and with funding partners.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support approved natural resource initiatives
• Monitor project progress and manage budgets
• Help prepare funding applications and reports
• Engage with the community for project updates
• Support collaboration with stakeholders and consultants
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
• At least two years of relevant experience
• Strong organizational skills to manage various projects
• Excellent communication abilities
• Experience with First Nations or community initiatives
