Join the Community Consultative Group as a representative to support vital policing and public safety discussions. Open to all ages, this role fosters strong community relationships with the Indigenous Policing Service officers.
The group is inviting expressions of interest for 2–3 dedicated community members. Candidates should be eager to represent community priorities in public safety and policing, engaging proactively in committee discussions.
Your role will include contributing to the update of the RCMP Letter of Expectation and facilitating communication between the Lower Nicola Indian Band and the Merritt RCMP.
Key Responsibilities:
• Review reports and prepare for committee meetings
• Understand the committee's mission and structure
• Participate actively in discussions with respect
• Commit to regular attendance at meetings
• Adhere to established conflict of interest policies
Requirements:
