Community Services Officer

Position: Full-Time Community Services Officer I
The City of Kamloops is hiring a full-time Community Services Officer I to enhance community safety and compliance. This role focuses on public education and bylaw enforcement initiatives.

In this permanent role, you will work with the City of Kamloops to protect and serve the community effectively. Responsibilities will include educating the public on municipal bylaws and investigating various community issues. The job comes with a structured 4 on/4 off flexible shift schedule, promoting a balanced lifestyle while developing law enforcement skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as a resource for municipal bylaw education

• Conduct enforcement of city regulations and policies

• Investigate community complaints and concerns

• Uphold professionalism in every community interaction

• Participate in continuous training programs for growth

Requirements:

• Completion of high school or its equivalent

• Level I and II Bylaw Enforcement Certificate needed

• Basic proficiency in Word and Excel (minimum 70% required)

• A valid Class 5 Driver's Licence is essential

• Possession of Occupational First Aid Level 1 certificate
