Drive sustainable land governance with Neskonlith as a Lands Manager. This full-time role focuses on community planning, land stewardship, and economic development in person.
As the Lands Manager, you will oversee land use and planning, lead development proposals, and support land-based economic initiatives. Collaborating with Chief and Council, you will guide staff and communicate with community partners, ensuring compliance with legislation. The role is critical for responsible land management and unlocking community growth opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee land use, leases, and records management
• Lead land use planning and assess development proposals
• Support land-based economic opportunities for the community
• Guide staff in project coordination and execution
• Collaborate with Chief and Council on governance decisions
Requirements:
• Experience in land management or related fields
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Collaborative working style with partners
• Understanding of First Nations land governance is beneficial
• Valid driver's license with criminal record check required
