Industrial Hygienist at Coeur Mining

Take on a pivotal role as an Industrial Hygienist with Coeur Mining at the New Afton mine in British Columbia. This position focuses on maintaining Occupational Health programs while promoting safety and compliance.

As an Industrial Hygienist, you will report to the Health and Safety Manager and play a crucial role in overseeing health and hygiene practices. You will leverage your skills in exposure analysis and safety regulation monitoring within a collaborative and supportive team. Your expertise will help ensure a safe work environment for all site personnel while engaging in initiatives related to chemical, physical, and biological hazards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct exposure surveys and analyze monitoring data

• Manage Hazardous Materials Management Programs

• Develop and deliver Industrial Hygiene training sessions

• Oversee the site Industrial Hygiene monitoring committee

• Coordinate exposure-related medical surveillance programs

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree related to Occupational Health or similar

• Minimum 5 years experience in Health & Safety

• Certification in Industrial Hygiene preferred

• Proficient in exposure monitoring techniques

• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
