The Adult Mental Health and Substance Use Worker role calls for collaboration with clinical partners to aid individuals dealing with homelessness, mental health disorders, and substance use issues. With a focus on life skills development, your experience will directly impact the lives of those in need. In this position, you will employ a trauma-informed approach and utilize your skills to facilitate growth and engage individuals in supportive activities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with clinical teams on treatment and safety plans
• Engage participants through person-centered support initiatives
• Implement harm-reduction strategies for community integration
• Assist with personal care for clients with diverse needs
• Respond to crises using non-violent de-escalation techniques
Requirements:
• Diploma in Mental Health or related field
• Two years of relevant experience in care
• Strong knowledge of mental health and addiction issues
• Ability to work independently and within a team
• Understanding of Indigenous culture and history
