Network and VoIP Technician at TOPS

TOPS Telecommunications Inc. is looking for a Network and VoIP Technician in Kamloops, BC. This full-time role involves hands-on work both in the office and at client sites.

You will be responsible for installing and maintaining VoIP systems and network infrastructure while providing exceptional customer service. Collaborating with a dedicated team, you’ll enhance client experiences through technical training and equipment support. This role covers a variety of tasks from programming VoIP setups to managing complex network installations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install and maintain VoIP Unified Communications infrastructure

• Program VoIP phones, softphones, and ring groups

• Train users on VoIP systems and functionalities

• Perform installations of routers, switches, and firewalls

• Document customer interactions and service activities

Requirements:

• Proficient in SIP and TDM technologies

• Strong knowledge of network protocols

• Practical experience with Wi-Fi access points

• Ability to work in noisy environments

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
