Start your journey as a GIS Analyst I with the Thompson-Nicola Regional District in beautiful Kamloops, British Columbia. This full-time role is pivotal in enhancing our Geographic Information System capabilities.
The TNRD is searching for a detail-oriented GIS Analyst I to work under the GIS Supervisor. In this role, you will manage spatial data, perform analysis, and develop comprehensive reports. Your expertise will directly contribute to improving workflows across various departments. This role entails mapping, troubleshooting applications, and supporting emergency operations when necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct data maintenance and create maps for users
• Troubleshoot issues and implement solutions for GIS applications
• Develop specifications and monitor project deliverables
• Create user instructions and training materials for applications
• Assist in the Emergency Operations Centre as needed
Requirements:
• Completed GIS degree or diploma, or equivalent experience
• 1-5 years of relevant work experience in GIS
• Skilled in Esri Desktop, ArcGIS Enterprise, and related software
• Intermediate knowledge of project delivery and troubleshooting
• Strong abilities in communication and effective collaboration
