Location: Logan Lake

Become a key player at Highland Valley Copper as a Buyer responsible for efficient procurement of goods and services on-site in Logan Lake, BC. Ensure timely delivery and maintain vendor relations while securing optimal value.

In this temporary full-time position, reporting to the Purchasing General Supervisor, you will assist the Supply Chain Management Department. Your focus will be on creating purchase orders, evaluating bids, and maintaining optimal inventory levels while promoting safety policies and procedures. You will also analyze economic conditions to propose strategic sourcing opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Promote adherence to safety and environmental policies

• Create and manage purchase orders using ERP systems

• Monitor inventory levels with warehouse and production teams

• Assist in evaluating bids and preparing costing sheets

• Liaise between Supply Chain, business functions, and suppliers

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of purchasing experience preferred

• Completion or enrollment in Supply Chain Management designation

• Post-secondary diploma or degree in relevant fields

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP systems

• Strong communication skills and self-motivated
