- Provide mentorship and supervision to the Heavy Duty Mechanic
- Perform routine preventative maintenance to ensure performance, safety and longevity of the equipment
- Dismantle components to examine for excessive wear or damage
- Repair, replace, clean, and lubricate parts as necessary
- Managing inventory control for all parts related to vehicle maintenance
- Maintain and calibrate vehicle electrical systems
- Monitor hydraulic systems for fluid leaks, ruptured hoses, worn gaskets, etc and calibrate or replace components when necessary
- Maintain an open and trustworthy relationship with respect to communication amongst staff and the Fleet, Facility & Purchasing Manager
- Initiate, manage and delegate daily work assignments with minimal supervision
- Maintain records of work completed and report on all shop related activities within the CMMS
- Perform all maintenance and repair tasks in a cost-effective and fiscally responsible manner
- Assist the Fleet, Facility & Purchasing Manager with the preparation of annual budget for vehicle maintenance
- Ensure safety and good housekeeping practices
- Compliance with all safety regulations of assigned tasks, and ensure a clean and safe working environment with active participation in the health and safety program
- Adhere to all environmental policies and programs as required
- Other duties as assigned
Key Responsibilities

- Must be in possession of a Red Seal Heavy Duty Mechanic’s ticket
- Minimum 3 years experience working in a heavy duty mechanics role, asset if within the ski industry
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Familiarity with Heavy Industrial Equipment (excavators, loaders, skid steers etc.)
- Previous experience working with snow cats and snowmobiles (key asset)
- Working knowledge of hydraulics
- Must hold a current valid driver’s license
- Previous experience repairing undercarriage and track assemblies
- Previous experience repairing components such as frames and implements
