Excel in facility upkeep with Optima Living as a Maintenance Assistant Level I. Manage repairs, contribute to safety, and enhance resident care.
As a Maintenance Assistant Level I, you'll work under the Maintenance Manager, performing basic maintenance tasks like plumbing and electrical work, and ensuring that our facilities are safe and functional. This position emphasizes person-centered care and requires adaptability and a proactive approach to various maintenance projects.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with minor repairs and fixture installations
• Conduct regular safety and maintenance checks
• Collaborate with contractors as needed
• Help maintain clean work areas and grounds
• Support emergency responses and safety initiatives
Requirements:
• Completion of Grade 12 education necessary
• Experience in plumbing, electrical work, and repairs is beneficial
• Valid driver’s license required
• Effective communication and teamwork skills essential
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
