Position: Custodian Needed at NVIT Merritt Campus

Support NVIT in Merritt, BC as a Custodian, ensuring a clean and safe campus environment through diverse cleaning duties. This role includes flexible shifts, accommodating campus events.

The Custodian position at NVIT requires you to assist in maintaining facilities to meet health and safety standards. Reporting to the Facilities Manager, you will engage in daily cleaning tasks across various spaces including classrooms, hallways, and outdoor areas. You will participate in setting up for events, with appropriate training provided for advanced janitorial equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform daily cleaning tasks across all facilities

• Clean and prepare gym spaces for events on campus

• Sweep and maintain outdoor areas as required

• Move furniture as necessary for effective cleaning

• Work in cooperation with custodial colleagues

Requirements:

• A minimum of two years of relevant experience

• Ability to handle physical tasks and lift up to 50 lbs

• Professional interaction with students and colleagues

• Bondable and possess knowledge of Indigenous culture

• Work well independently as well as in a team
