Position: Merritt Cleaner for Supportive Housing
Make a difference with the ASK Wellness Society as a Cleaner in Merritt, BC.

Your role will focus on maintaining cleanliness across the 24-hour supportive housing facility, ensuring a healthy environment for clients.

This on-call role, reporting to the Director of Merrit Operations, indeed focuses on cleaning suites and communal areas, addressing all hygiene standards with care. You will engage with diverse clients and maintain strong boundaries, demonstrating empathy and an inclusive attitude. Ideal candidates will thrive in a fast-paced setting and possess relevant experience and training background.

Key Responsibilities:

• Dust and clean furniture and surfaces

• Disinfect sinks, toilets, and client rooms

• Sweep, mop, and scrub floors

• Maintain cleanliness of all areas and report issues

• Complete documentation and feedback efficiently

Requirements:

• Previous cleaning experience is an asset

• Ability to work in sensitive environments

• Strong time management skills

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Criminal record check for vulnerable sectors required
