Expert Utilities Operator D

Position: Expert Utilities Operator D-2 Role
Take the lead as a Utilities Operator D-2 at Tk’emlúps te Secwépemc, managing critical water distribution and wastewater systems. This position ensures compliance and safety across utility operations.

In this full-time role, you will be responsible for supervising the operation and maintenance of water and wastewater services. Your duties will include conducting detailed inspections, prioritizing safety protocols, and providing training to junior operators. Advanced troubleshooting and system optimization are key aspects of your responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and analyze data from water systems

• Complete safety procedures for utilities inspection

• Maintain operational records and report findings

• Manage emergency sewer backup responses

• Direct preventative maintenance activities

Requirements:

• Minimum 3-5 years municipal utility experience

• EOCP Level II certification in Water and Wastewater

• Skilled in SCADA operations

• Valid Class 5 BC Driver's License

• Exceptional communication and mentoring capabilities
