Housekeeping Specialist

Position: Housekeeping Specialist at Day One Society
Maintain cleanliness at Day One Society's facilities as a Housekeeping Specialist.

Your role supports substance use services by ensuring a hygienic environment for clients in recovery.

Reporting to the Detox Program Supervisor, you will clean and maintain both the 922 Third Avenue and 782 Seymour Street buildings. This position requires a high level of flexibility and the ability to respond to crises while working both independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean and maintain client washrooms and common areas

• Stock and sanitize 10 adult and 5 youth patient rooms

• Maintain cleaning equipment and report any repairs needed

• Ensure cleanliness at the 782 Seymour Street building

• Execute additional related duties as required

Requirements:

• Grade 12 or equivalent education

• Preferred institutional cleaning certificate

• Minimum 2 years of institutional housekeeping experience

• Knowledge of WHMIS and basic Microsoft Outlook

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
