Position OverviewReporting to the Production Supervisor, Operators work a 4x4 12-hour day/night shift. The role involves operating overhead cranes, forklifts, and other equipment. Applicants should have industrial work experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities- Safely and efficiently operate plant equipment and systems to ensure production and delivery of quality products to customers.
- Operate overhead cranes, forklifts, and other machinery.
- Perform physically demanding labour tasks as required, including lifting, moving materials, and working in varied conditions.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of safety, environmental, and job procedures.
- Assist the Maintenance Department during equipment breakdowns and scheduled maintenance days.
- Industrial work experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and understand equipment operation.
- Experience operating overhead cranes and forklifts; relevant safety certifications are an asset.
- Training and experience in equipment operation and safety procedures, including forklift, crane, first aid, working at heights, and confined spaces.
- Good work ethic, organizational skills, and effective communication.
- Comfortable working day, night, and weekend shifts as part of a 4x4 schedule.
