Tolko’s Maintenance Supervisors are a driving force behind our day‑to‑day success. They engage their teams, keep employees safe and operate our facilities smoothly. We’re looking for a Maintenance Supervisor to join our Heffley Creek division, located in Kamloops, British Columbia. With approximately 215 employees, Heffley Creek produces plywood and veneer products safely and sustainably, producing around 180 million square feet of plywood and 28 million square feet of veneer per year for customers worldwide.
Qualifications- A Journeyman ticket, diploma/technical degree in a mechanical, electrical, or related field considered an asset.
- 3‑5 years of leadership experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
- A good understanding of computerized maintenance management systems (preferably JD Edwards).
- Excellent work‑ethic, communication, organizational and time‑management skills to lead by example, engage your team, plan the work and get things done.
- Troubleshooting skills to ensure smooth daily operations.
- A creative problem solver who thinks beyond the obvious and executes with a vision and precision.
- Lead a team of tradespeople and apprentices to ensure the mill operates efficiently, consistently and safely.
- Apply your working knowledge of safety program development, implementation and legislation to ensure the team follows due process and goes home safely.
- Support the planning, development and execution of an effective plant maintenance program, including equipment configuration database, downtime analysis, repair and preventative work order development, allocation and scheduling of resources, ongoing follow‑up and refinement of maintenance procedures.
- Be a collaborative leader who inspires innovation and continuous improvement.
- Competitive salary based on skills and experience; expected base salary range $87,000 – $116,000 per year.
