Step into a vital role as a Safety Coordinator at a prominent manufacturing company located in Surrey, BC. This position requires both fieldwork and office duties to ensure comprehensive health and safety practices.
In this role, you will report directly to the Director of HR and act as the primary safety consultant for the production and maintenance teams. Candidates should possess a minimum of 7-10 years of relevant experience and a recognized OHS qualification. Your responsibilities will cover safety orientations, risk assessments, and overseeing the disability management process.
Key Responsibilities:
• Facilitate crew safety orientations
• Conduct hazard identification and risk assessments
• Update safety manuals and handbooks
• Oversee OHS reporting on a weekly and monthly basis
• Manage confined space and fire safety programs
Requirements:
• 7-10 years in a Health and Safety role
• Completion of a recognized OHS program
• Experience in heavy industrial manufacturing
• Proficient in MS Office applications
• Occupational First Aid Level 3 certification
