Nurse Practitioner at Interior Health

Join Interior Health as a Nurse Practitioner focusing on inpatient care for older adults. Collaborate with a dedicated interdisciplinary team while managing chronic conditions and complex care.

We are looking for an experienced Nurse Practitioner to engage in both short-term and long-term care management within the Hospitalist program. You will have the autonomy to make clinical decisions and will directly contribute to patient care planning. The ideal candidate will bring experience in handling behavioral symptoms of dementia, enhancing the support provided to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Hospitalists and General Practitioners

• Direct clinical care for older adult inpatients

• Coordinate transitions of care within the team

• Engage in planning for complex chronic care needs

• Provide consultations, referrals, and autonomous decision-making

Requirements:

• Master’s degree in Nursing (NP) or equivalent

• Current NP certification in British Columbia

• Clinical experience with diagnosis and treatment

• Previous patient care management experience

• Strong skills in dementia care and behavioral management
