Interior Health is seeking an experienced and dynamic Licensed Practical Nurse to join our Perioperative team at the Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops, BC.

• Provides practical nursing services in an operating room environment as a member of an integrated surgical team performing varied surgical interventions.
• Consults, confers, and collaborates with other members of the surgical team in facilitating safe and effective surgical interventions through the performance of scrubbing and circulating duties in accordance with established standards and protocols.
• Participates in pre-operative, operative, and post-operative activities such as assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating and documenting client care, and providing support to clients and their families.

Shifts of work will be scheduled days and evenings rotating from 07:00 to 15:30, 07:15 to 15:45, 09:30 to 18:00, and 10:00 to 18:30 hours.

Royal Inland Hospital’s Operating Room Department has nine theatres offering services that include General (MIS bowels, hernias, spleen, whipples), Trauma, Ortho Trauma, Obs/Gyne (LAVH), Urology (MIS Nephrectomy, Cystectomy, PCNL’s), Ortho (total joints, sports medicine), ENT, Neuro (Craniotomies, Spinal surgery), Vascular (AAA stents, Bypass grafts, pacemakers, wound management), Major Plastics, Dental, and Laser cases (Holmium, CO2, YAG). OR RNs are expected to work in all services.

As a member of the RIH Operating Room team, you will have circulating and scrubbing duties while coordinating and overseeing the overall care of the patient.
