• Performs assessments and plans, implements and provides personal and nursing care to patients in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team; the scope or extent of the skills that the LPN performs varies according to the predictability of the outcome for a given client population
• Administers oral, subcutaneous and intramuscular medications in accordance with pharmaceutical and organizational policies and procedures
• Operates in accordance with the competency guidelines and full scope of practice within the Standards of Practice as outlined by the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM), and according to organizational policies, procedures, standards and unit specific protocols

This is a Casual opportunity. Casual Employees are not guaranteed hours of work and can range from 0-37.5 hours per week on an as-needed basis.

Shifts of work will be scheduled days and nights; rotating from 07:00 to 19:00, 19:00 to 07:00 hours.

Mill Site Lodge & Fischer Place, located in 100 Mile House, embodies a client-centered philosophy designed to support clients’ choices, help people function at their highest level, and provide the best quality of life possible. This facility has 79 private rooms, all equipped with ceiling lifts, and five short-stay beds, including one palliative care suite.

Tucked in the heart of the Cariboo, 100 Mile House is surrounded by lakes, forests, and endless opportunities for outdoor adventure. Expect year-round recreation: in summer, enjoy hiking, canoeing, boating, and fishing, while winter offers backcountry skiing, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, and dog sledding.

The town has a strong sense of community, with local events like the South Cariboo Farmers’ Market, plus all the amenities you need—shops, dining, and schools. Just a short drive away, Bowron Lake Provincial Park provides even more opportunities to explore nature. 100 Mile House offers the perfect mix of adventure and peaceful living.

• Graduation from a recognized program for Practical Nurses or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
• Current full practicing licensure with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)
• Current CPR certification required
