Position Summary
Interior health is looking for a relief full-time Shift Coordinator to join the team at the Royal Inland Hospital, located in Kamloops, BC. This position end date is December 31, 2026, or return of incumbent. Critical Care or Emergency specialty experience is preferred, along with current ACLS and PALS certification.
Shift TypeRotating Days & Nights - 06:45 to 19:00 & 18:45 to 07:00

The Shift Coordinator practices in accordance with the standards of professional practice and code of ethics as outlined by the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) as well as within a patient and family centered care model.
ResponsibilitiesThe Shift Coordinator is responsible for patient placement, bed utilization and staffing during weekends, evening and night shifts. Acts as a clinical resource to staff in resolving problems regarding patient care, staffing levels and bed utilization. The Shift Coordinator is accountable for ensuring excellence in the provision of patient centered care throughout the hospital on assigned shift.
Qualfications- Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- Three years’ recent related clinical experience and two years’ recent supervisory experience in a complex health care setting; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Current CPR certificate.
