Become a permanent Nurse Practitioner with Foundry Kamloops, providing comprehensive care for youth aged 12–24. Engage in a dynamic and inclusive healthcare environment focused on integrated youth services.
In this role, you will assess, diagnose, and manage health conditions while working collaboratively with physicians and allied health professionals. You'll focus on enhancing access to care for marginalized populations and integrating various services for youth, from mental health to substance use support. Your contributions will play a crucial role in improving community health outcomes through evidence-based strategies and effective patient communication.
Key Responsibilities:
• Diagnose and treat youth health conditions with prescribed medications
• Develop and implement customized care and treatment plans
• Facilitate clear communication with patients regarding their health
• Collaborate with team members on individualized patient approaches
• Mentor and oversee the performance of nursing staff
Requirements:
• Active Nurse Practitioner certification with relevant experience
• Commitment to culturally safe practices and interdisciplinary work
• Experience with diverse youth populations
• Skills in patient education and community health policy development
• Adherence to health and safety regulations
