As part of the Diabetes Education Team, this casual RN position focuses on delivering education for diverse diabetes types and emphasizes collaborative health care. You'll play a crucial part in improving the quality of life for patients and their families through dedicated support and education. Your nursing passion will drive continuous improvement in patient care practices.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide comprehensive diabetes education
• Engage with healthcare teams for collaborative care
• Consult and support patients and families effectively
• Maintain clinical knowledge and support evidence-based practice
• Participate in research and hospital committees
Requirements:
• Current Registered Nurse with diabetes expertise
• Strong background in adult learning and facilitation
• Knowledge of Type 1, Type 2, and gestational diabetes
• Focus on continual professional development
• Casual role with flexible hours as needed
