Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

• Performs assessments and plans, implements and provides personal and nursing care to patients in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team; the scope of the skills that the LPN performs varies according to the predictability of the outcome for a given client population.
• Administers oral, subcutaneous and intramuscular medications in accordance with pharmaceutical and organizational policies and procedures.
• Operates in accordance with the competency guidelines and full scope of practice within the Standards of Practice as outlined by the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) and according to organizational policies, procedures, standards and unit specific protocols.

This is a casual opportunity. Casual employees are not guaranteed hours of work and can range from 0–37.5 hours per week on an as‑needed basis.

Shifts of work will be scheduled days, evenings and nights rotating from 07:00 to 19:00, 19:00 to 07:00, and 08:30 to 16:30.

Mt. Cartier Court located in beautiful Revelstoke offers long‑term living for individuals with complex health needs. Our mission is to offer the very best in care services, quality of life, and to respect each individual’s preferences. We provide a range of services through caring professionals in a home‑like environment. A complement of health professionals include occupational therapist, physiotherapist, pharmacist, dietician, diabetes educator, and excellent physician support.

Nursing staff is on duty on a 24‑hour basis. We have 44 private rooms over three distinct wings or “cottages.” Each cottage has a warmly decorated living room with comfortable seating, all have large new televisions, and two have pianos. The décor throughout the cottages changes with each holiday and new season. Our building is relatively new and well kept.

We opened our doors to the community in 2006.
