The First Nations Health Authority is looking for a Community Health Nurse for a temporary contract until March 31, 2027. Your work will involve delivering nursing services in community/public health settings, focusing on disease prevention and health promotion. The role requires travel within the region and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to ensure population health is prioritized.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide nursing care in public and community health environments
• Promote health education and disease prevention strategies
• Travel to surrounding communities for care delivery
• Work collaboratively with health teams and stakeholders
• Evaluate community health needs and develop responsive programs
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or related qualifications
• Active registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives
• Minimum one year nursing experience required
• Basic Life Support Certification Level C needed
• Class 5 BC Driver’s Licence necessary
