Advance your nursing career by joining Day One Society as a Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse. Both full-time and casual positions are on offer to support clients in recovery from substance use.
In this role, you will provide essential nursing care in a detox environment while managing both the physical and mental health of clients facing addiction challenges. You will assess clients, educate them on treatment options, and respond to emergencies as part of your duties. Flexibility in your schedule is required to support this important work.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess clients’ physical and mental health needs
• Offer education on health care and harm reduction
• Collaborate with various health professionals
• Implement medication schedules and treatment plans
• Ensure a clean and safe living environment
Requirements:
• Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse
• 2 years experience with substance use or mental health
• Current CPR and First Aid certifications
• Strong communication and independent decision-making skills
• Proven ability to work in crisis situations
