Join the dedicated team at Royal Inland Hospital as a full-time Infection Control Practitioner in Kamloops, B.C. This vital role is focused on enhancing healthcare safety and practices.
As an Infection Control Practitioner, you will report to the IPAC Manager, addressing healthcare-associated infections by developing and promoting effective infection control measures across various departments. You will play a key role in educating staff, conducting risk assessments, and applying evidence-based strategies in care settings. Your clinical background will support your mission to uphold the highest infection control standards in the healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Monitor hospital adherence to infection control standards
• Implement educational initiatives for healthcare staff
• Support quality improvement projects and interventions
• Assess and manage infectious disease risks
• Act as a mentor in infection prevention education
Requirements:
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program
• Current registration with BCCNM
• Minimum three years of clinical nursing experience
• At least two years focusing on infection control
• Completion of relevant IPAC Canada courses
