As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will be pivotal in providing clinical supervision and mentorship to students enrolled in the Regional Diploma in Psychiatric Nursing. With a commitment to high standards in nursing education, this role involves overseeing student practice in dynamic health environments. Candidates must have extensive experience in acute medical and surgical nursing.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee student clinical practice in medical/surgical settings
• Mentor student nurses during their practical care of patients
• Engage with Clinical Practice Specialist for ongoing support
• Monitor students during varied patient care scenarios
• Assist students in developing essential nursing skills
Requirements:
• Valid RN registration with BCCNM required
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing mandatory
• At least three years of direct nursing experience
• Recent acute medical/surgical experience is crucial
• Prior leadership or teaching experience preferred
