Engaging in this full-time role will allow you to support both preventative measures and active response efforts during the wildfire season. Your commitment to safety, training maintenance, and community collaboration with BCWS partners is crucial. This position demands a strong physical ability to navigate challenging terrains while ensuring all safety standards are met during operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure personal and crew safety throughout assigned tasks
• Keep wildfire response equipment in top condition
• Attend to daily operational updates effectively
• Engage in collaborative project work and education
• Adhere to safety policies and protocols rigorously
Requirements:
• Current Class 5 or Class 7N driving license
• Certification in Basic First Aid required
• Previous outdoor experience necessary
• Strong physical fitness and endurance required
• Willingness to travel as needed
