The Forestry Division at Simpcw Resources Group is hiring an Operations Forester to lead operational activities in timber harvesting and road construction. This role includes collaboration with Indigenous partners and managing forestry contractors to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and company objectives. The ideal candidate will also play a vital role in promoting responsible forest practices across the region.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee forestry operations including harvesting and road construction

• Coordinate compliance with Cutting and Road Permit processes

• Manage contractor performance and field inspections

• Collaborate on annual road maintenance planning

• Monitor operations for efficiency and safety

Requirements:

• Degree/Diploma in Forestry, Natural Resource Management, etc.

• 5+ years in operational forestry roles

• Registered with BC forest professional bodies preferred

• Familiarity with forest road engineering and environmental laws

• Strong project management and budgeting skills
