Seasonal Entry Level Archaeologist in TteS

Start your archaeological career with Tk’emlúps te Secwépemc as an Entry Level Archaeologist this season. Engage in fieldwork, surveying, and cultural resource management while representing TteS.

This seasonal position with Knúcwmens le Sxwixwéytemc Archaeology Services Ltd. (KSAS) focuses on field operations, surveys, and data recovery. You'll gain first-hand experience while assisting the Field Crew Lead and contributing to cultural resource management projects. Your notes and observations will help protect significant cultural sites and features.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct pedestrian surveys and shovel testing

• Assist in monitoring and data recovery tasks

• Collect and prepare accurate field notes

• Maintain and prepare field equipment

• Work collaboratively on cultural resource projects

Requirements:

• Education or experience in relevant field studies

• Level 1 First Aid certificate or willing to obtain

• Valid BC Class 5 driver's license required

• Clean driver abstract and drug test needed

• Familiarity with Secwepemc culture is an asset
