In this role, you'll conduct vital on-site assessments for major projects within Simpcw Territory, assisting experienced archaeologists with shovel testing and artifact analysis. We seek individuals passionate about cultural heritage protection and environmental stewardship. Enjoy working outdoors while adhering to safety and professionalism standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in systematic shovel testing and field surveys
• Identify potential artifacts and record field data
• Contribute to site evaluations and mitigation efforts
• Maintain equipment and prepare sites for assessment
• Follow company safety regulations and practices
Requirements:
• Interest in archaeology and cultural resource management
• Strong organizational and attention to detail skills
• Ability to work in varying terrain and weather
• First Aid certification or willingness to obtain
• Previous field experience in related disciplines is an asset
