Position: Security Officer at Interior Health

Interior Health is looking for multiple casual Relational Security Officers in Kamloops. This role involves monitoring facilities, responding to emergencies, and enforcing security policies. Ideal candidates should have a BC Security Guard License and recent experience in a similar role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Patrol buildings and grounds utilizing surveillance equipment

• Respond to emergencies, assessing and acting as necessary

• Investigate and document disturbances using non-violent interventions

• Provide escorts for staff and patients upon request

• Maintain daily logs and prepare detailed reports

Requirements:

• Current BC Security Guard License with handcuff endorsement

• One year recent related experience or equivalent education

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to operate security-related equipment

• Capability to work independently and effectively
