Location: Merritt
Engage with the Community Consultative Group as a Community Member Representative. This role invites members of all ages to contribute to policing priorities and public safety.
The Community Consultative Group is recruiting 2-3 representatives to foster collaboration between community members and Indigenous Policing Service officers. Successful candidates will support open dialogues about policing matters and enhance the community's engagement with the Dedicated Police Services. Participation requires a willingness to represent community interests and a commitment to informed discussions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Attend committee meetings regularly
• Prepare by reading reports and background materials
• Participate respectfully in discussions
• Understand the committee's functions and mandate
• Comply with conflict of interest policies
Requirements:
• Open to all community members, regardless of age
• Willing to obtain a Criminal Record Check if needed
• Commitment to community policing and public safety priorities
• Ability to collaborate with Indigenous Policing Service
• Knowledge of community interests and needs
